Texas Brownies

Mix Together:
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Salt
Bring to a boil and mix with flour mixture
1 Cube Butter
1/2 Cup Shortening
4 Tbsp Cocoa
1 Cup Water
Beat into cocoa mixture
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs
1 tsp Soda
1 tsp Vanilla
Directions: Pour onto large cookie sheet and bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Making frosting while baking and frost while hot.
Frosting:
Bring to boil:
1 cube Butter
4 Tbsp Cocoa
5 Tbsp Buttermilk
Boil 3 minutes then add 1 box (1 lb) powdered sugar. Beat well. Add 1 tsp Vanilla and nuts if desired. Spread over hot brownies and cut into squares.
